Not only does Chintimini Wildlife Center rescue wildlife, but it is also located on about a 10 acre piece of land that is teeming with local wildlife. We really enjoyed her company. Red-shouldered hawks are absolutely beautiful, a fully mature bird. Spotted towhee's used to be called "rufous-sided towhees" and sometimes I still forget. I love trying to catch these ground-foragers in trees, it's much more picturesque than when they are hunting around for grubs in leaf-litter.
